SLOCA Teaches That Awareness is Trusting Your Instincts

How often are we told to ignore pain? Or to give your body time for something to go away? St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness was founded in 2002 with the simple hope of increasing awareness about ovarian cancer, but awareness is so much more than simply knowing about the risks. There ARE risks every woman should be aware of (which can be found on the SLOCA website). Being aware of what your body is telling you is another thing entirely. SLOCA reminds every woman to "watch 4 the signs;" Bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, urinary urgency or frequency, and difficulty eating or feeling full quickly. Know the symptoms. Listen to your Body. Take action.

Beyond awareness, SLOCA is also a great resource for referrals and support for those who are currently battling ovarian cancer. You can get the full scope of everything they do at their tasting booth on Rosé Day in the CWE on May 4th and support their mission directly by purchasing your Rosé Day tickets through the link below. This will be the second year Rosé Day and SLOCA have partnered and we couldn't be more excited to have them. It's just a coincidence that teal and pink go so well together.

Get Rosé Day tickets through the following link and a portion of your purchase will be directed specifically to supporting St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness' work. See you on May 4th for Rosé Day! GET TICKETS: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rose-day-in-the-cwe-tickets-53163596749?aff=SLOCA
