Eat at Yellowbelly, Support Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis on Rosé Day

Travis Howard and Tim Wiggins of Retreat Gastropub teamed up last fall with Top Chef’s Richard Blais to open a restaurant that has quickly become a mainstay for Central West End neighbors and a destination restaurant for foodies from all over. It's a bright, modern bar with a laid back feel, offing a tropical, (and highly instagram-able) spot to hideout from the hustle and bustle. They called it Yellowbelly.

With a cocktail list that reads like a love letter to rum, and a menu equally catered to fearless foodies and less daring diners – Yellowbelly is a perfect spot to grab dinner (or an extra beverage) on Rosé Day! +

Thanks to the generous staff, 15% of all sales that day, Saturday, May 4th, will go directly to Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis, one of the 10 partner organizations who will be highlighted at the festival.

Through Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis' Women Build program, 15 new affordable homes have been constructed since 1996, providing safe housing for low and moderate income families in both the city and county. The worldwide emphasis of Women Build is to concentrate the talents and resources of women who want to contribute to a meaningful change in their community. It's a program that empowers women on build sites here in St. Louis, and around the world. Women come together to provide the funding and volunteer labor for an entire house build—from raising the first wall to landscaping.

Though our neighborhoods are comprised largely of women and children, they are also the population’s most likely to be affected by poor living conditions. Women Build events provide an opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities. Women Build St. Louis, the longest-running Women Build group in the U.S., is vibrant and growing, and is always seeking helping hands.
