St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Among cancer’s many ills, it’s confusing, isolating and disheartening. Each year, SLOCA gifts Sister Boxes to 200 St. Louis area women diagnosed with ovarian cancer as a way to personally connect with and support patients who are starting chemotherapy treatment.

Each year over 14,000 women die from ovarian cancer. Our mission is to reduce this number and one day erase it—through awareness, education and research.

Over the past decade, SLOCA has given more than $300,000 for research grants and with continued support we can harness the power of knowledge to fight and beat ovarian cancer. Visit us at www.sloca.org for more information.

La Spinetta Il Rosé di Casanova

This rosé out of Casanova, Tuscany in Italy, offers spicy character with sliced

ripe peaches, chalk and dry fruit. It’s 50% Sangiovese and 50% Prugnolo Gentile, and is complex with a full body, but is very crisp and clean. Extremely flavorful yet agile, sexy and fresh.

Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls is honored to participate in the First Annual Rosé Day! How appropriate for our new school – the First All Girls Public School in Missouri – to join in this first-time celebration. At Hawthorn, we are bold about being the first and our students are our true trailblazers. Hawthorn opened in 2015 and our first graduating class will walk across the stage in 2021! Many of our students will be first in their families to attend college and for those who go on to pursue careers in STEM, they will be among the first minority women to enter those fields.

Enjoy the day! Pink is powerful! Visit us at www.hawthornschool.org for more information.
